Kelly Thomas Concert

Today there will be a memorial concert for Fullerton homeless man Kelly Thomas. The event will take place in Fullerton's Downtown plaza on Wilshire Avenue.

The event is an example of a community not being apathetic towards the way the homeless and needy are treated within their community. Thomas was beaten to death near the bus stop in Downtown's transportation center. Several police officers are being investigated in relation to the beating.

Even through a situation that is so dark and tragic, a community has the chance to show their true colors in coming together and celebrating a man's life.

Protests and demonstrations have been heard every weekend as several citizens have taken a stance against the Fullerton Police.

What the community needs to focus on is the future and how we can help the homeless and special needs members of our community.

The concert and canned food drive today is a great start in letting Fullerton's enraged and passionate voice be heard around the world.

Fullerton Downtown

What is the first thing that comes to other's minds when you tell them you work, study, or live in Fullerton, California? Orange County crowd? Lots of bars and restaurants? The college scene? Community? As one who has worked, lived, and studied in Fullerton I will be your guide to what Fullerton has to offer, what is happening in the town, and what part of the town's culture you can connect with.

50 years ago, Fullerton was a vast expanse of thousands of orange trees. Today it is a town with a thousand different scenes one can connect with. The Los Angeles sprawl has a special small-town-feel area called Fullerton, California.

My name is Lance Morgan.
I live Downtown, just north of the tracks.
And this is Living Fullerton Downtown.
