Brookdale: A Charmingly Haunted Street

After taking a walk around town on Halloween night, I now know that Fullerton has some great trick-or-treating spots. Just north of Chapman Avenue there is a street where all the gremlins and goblins come out on a dark night in late October. Brookdale Place.

The street is a few blocks north of downtown in a family neighborhood with small houses filled with character. The neighborhood is a safe, bustling with kids eager to stock up with candy, and has a few unique and scary surprises along the way.

I strongly reccomend driving your children here to enjoy Halloween, rather than braving some of the more rough neighborhoods in the area. The houses are close together allowing the kids to get more bang for their buck, and their are fun ghosts in the trees waiting to scare you. There is even a house with a 8-foot-tall ghostly face that sings classic Halloween-themed songs.

My favorite place in Fullerton on Octeber 31, is definitely Brookhurst Street and the surrounding neihborhood.
